Principal's Message

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!

Summer is almost here and so is our 2nd graduation.  Graduation will take place on Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Jenks/JMW Arts Complex in the auditorium at 4:30 pm.  We are very excited because this class will actually graduate in their own school. 

 We are very excited to announce our new website is now live!  You can access it from two places:  www.psdri.net and click on “our schools” and then scroll down to “JMW Arts”, or you can go to:  www.jmwschool.net.  All of our literature, logos, etc are all consistent.

Congratulations to our juniors for doing a wonderful job on the NECAP Assessments.  94% of our students are Proficient in Reading, 81% are Proficient in Writing, and 50% are Proficient in Mathematics, double the number of students from the last two years!  JMW is again one of the top five high schools in Rhode Island!!

JMW CLOTHING IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR ORDERING.  PLEASE CALL THE OFFICE AT 721-2148 FOR DETAILS.

PTO/SIT  MEETING 

There will be no PTO meeting until September.  Have a great summer and thanks to all our dedicated parents!

SCHOOL COMMITTEE

The next school committee meeting will be held at Jenks Jr. High School on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 6:00 pm.

AP CALCULUS AND AP ENGLISH LITERATURE EXAMS AND CAPS AND GOWNS

Some seniors have not paid for their caps and gowns,and their AP exams.  ALL PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE BY JUNE 2, 2010.  If you are not sure that your child paid, please contact me.

HONORS NIGHT

Honors Night for all seniors and those juniors being inducted in the National Honor Society will take place on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the LeFoyer Club on Fountain Street, around the corner from JMW.  The ceremonies will begin at 7:00 pm.  There is a cost of $ 10.00 for adults and underclassmen not participating in the ceremony.  Please make checks out to JMW.
